About me…

Hello I’m Joni and yes, that profile picture is embarrassing.

I think it’s important to let you know a little about me because, after all, you’re inviting me into your home to clean. And….it’s quite a personal thing, so I want you to feel comfortable.

I’m a thirty-something mother and wife. I live in Cleadon. I’m a friendly, family orientated sort of person with…this will not surprise you…..a general reputation for being neat and tidy. Known by my husband and close family as ‘Monica’ – I can generally be found wiping, dusting or scrubbing something!
I love dancing and really, honestly, can’t bear to be cold (which I generally almost always, am).

About Lavender White…

Thoughts of starting up my own cleaning company first began many, many moons ago. It seemed that being able to offer a service to people which freed up their time (to actually do the things they enjoy!), whilst I would be doing a job that I really enjoyed – would be the perfect combination! On mentioning the idea to a few of my close friends and family, the overall reaction was; “YES!! That would be the perfect job for you!!!”

As a working mother, with a house to run, a husband to clean up after (let him say otherwise!!), nursery runs and everything else that goes with running a busy household; I understand how hectic life can be and also, how hard it is to get through that ever increasing list of chores! I don’t claim to be a domestic goddess whose home is perfect but, and I think this is key – I do enjoy those jobs that most other people seem to hate and actually….I’m really quite good at them!

Lavender for Luck…

Thinking of a name for my company was one of the things I was really excited about but….as it turned out….it was one of the most difficult parts! I came up with dozens of names, some good, some bad and some just downright questionable! I asked for opinions and suggestions (bad idea!) and suffered sleepless nights!! Until, eventually and thankfully, the perfect name just ‘clicked’ and Lavender White became real!

I love the name. For me it evokes thoughts of pureness, simplicity, freshness and nature. It’s also (according to old wives tales) the plant given for luck….so, what could be better?!

I know it’s “just cleaning”, but to me it’s more than that. It’s something that I enjoy, it’s something that relaxes me when I’m stressed (often!) and for me, it makes our house, our home. I hope I can do this for you too.

Thanks for taking the time to visit and to read – hope to meet you soon!
